What is TrafficFix?
TrafficFix is a legal plan that provides an attorney to represent you if you get a ticket. The plan is primarily designed to protect and cover plan members for Class C traffic and criminal violations.
Am I covered if I have a Commercial Drivers License (CDL)?
Yes, CDL holders have the ability to purchase a Commercial Plan with TrafficFix.
How do I add my family members?
When signing up for a plan you can add family members at $20 each.
Am I covered if I do not have a drivers license?
Yes, drivers who are without a drivers license are covered under the Standard Drivers Plan.
What additional benefits are included with a TrafficFix membership?
Enrollment in a Traffic Fix Plan includes an attorney access line for consultation of any legal matter including non-traffic legal matters. Discounts are also available if you choose to have a TrafficFix attorney handle your non-traffic legal matters.
Is TrafficFix a type of insurance?
No. TrafficFix is a Texas Legal Plan licensed by the Texas Department of License and Regulation in Austin, Texas.
Are legal plans regulated?
Yes. TrafficFix is a official legal plan regulated by the Texas Department of License and Regulation. TrafficFix plans are backed by CNA Surety Inc. a national insurance company traded on the New York Stock Exchange. Also, TrafficFix is an active member of the American Prepaid Legal Services Institute. www.aplsi.org
How are TrafficFix attorneys selected?
TrafficFix only contracts with the most experienced traffic attorneys throughout the state. Our plan attorneys are all members of the Municipal Justice Bar Association of Texas and the American Prepaid Legal Services Institute. Attorneys are selected by their experience and proximity to the geographic location of your legal matter.
What costs are involved in TrafficFix plans?
TrafficFix charges a membership fee for 6 months of coverage. Membership fees vary based on the plan you select. Additional fees based on the type of plan you select.
How soon will my coverage begin?
Your coverage is effective immediately upon signup online or in person.

Glossary of Terms

TrafficFix Legal Plan
Provides an attorney to represent you on any class C misdemeanor traffic tickets.
Traffic Ticket
Includes only class C misdemeanor traffic tickets. Parking, criminal or other tickets are not included but may qualify under our Discounted Attorney Services section click here.
Membership Fee
The cost of membership for a 6 month time period.
Per Violation Fee
The cost to have a Plan Attorney represent a Plan Member on a per violation basis.
Plan Member
Any individual with a paid and non-expired TrafficFix Legal Plan.
Plan Attorney
The Attorney assigned to handle tickets for Plan Members.
Individual Plan
Plan designed to provide an attorney to represent one (1) person on any class C misdemeanor traffic ticket.
Family Plan
Plan designed to provide an attorney to represent all persons included in plan on any class C misdemeanor traffic ticket. All Family plan members must reside in the same household.
Group Plan
Plan designed to provide an attorney for large groups and organizations. Commercial drivers are excluded from the group plan unless otherwise specified.
Commercial Plan
Plan designed to provide an attorney for Commercial Driver License (CDL) holders.
